Tohoku restoration festival in Paris from August 30th to 31st.

We are planning to host Tohoku restoration festival in Paris, France. It will be hold in Champ de Mars near Eiffel Tower for two days from Auges 30th to 31st. Fukushima prefectural office plays an important role in this festival.

OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, headquartered in Paris) has provided teens in Fukushima, Iwate and Miyagi educational programs to encourage the revitalization. Tohofu restoration festival will be a great opportunity for them to show what they have studied throughout OECD Tohoku. People can learn about the revival process after the earthquake through joining the festival. Also, it can attract potential tourists in Tohoku area.

Students from Fukushima will have a dance performance with a prefectural mascot, Kibitan. This photo above was taken after a dance practice.
We will have a presentation about the current revival process and new programs towards the restoration.

Visitors can enjoy gold award winning sake tasting, painting traditional handicrafts and wearing kacchu, a Japanese traditional armor. There will be an exhibition and a presentation of safeness of agricultural products in Fukushima.

There will be a live public screening of the festival in Iwaki cultural center on august 30th from 5:30 to 7:30. This website will update you what is going on in the festival!
