Glamox launches new marine downlight for fire approved ceilings

Glamox is now launching DL42-R77 for marine applications. DL42 is a compact LED-downlight specifically designed to be integrated into B0 or B15 fire approved ceilings without use of additional firehat.

The new downlight is developed for all B15 rated metal ceilings. It can be used in public or crew areas such as cabins, corridors, staircases, shops, libraries, lounges and restaurants. The use of fire resistant materials combined with a unique heat sink trim makes this downlight an optimal choice for B15 ceilings.

The housing is made by stainless steel with a design that will prevent the temperature from increasing during a fire. The gap between the housing and the ceiling insulation will be closed under a fire by expanding graphite foam. The heat sink is made of aluminium and transfers the heat from the LED via the mounting ring into the ceiling panel.

The design of the downlight ensures that there is no need for any additional fire hat on the opposite side of the ceiling to keep the B15 approval. The installation of the luminaire is easy with self-tapping screws. The DL42-R77 comes with an external or integrated HF driver.

Various decor designs are available to customers choice.
