5 new companies on the Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science Investment Hotlist

The Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science Investment Hotlist is growing. Now being welcomed are 5 new companies, all in digital health, in the search for foreign investments and partnerships. Including the new companies, the list now includes 41 companies, almost half of which are in the field of digital health.

- It’s encouraging to get to welcome 5 exciting new companies to the Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science Hotlist. We’re seeing major interest from both foreign companies and from investors, and these are some of the most promising new companies in the sector right now, says Ylva Hultman, Business Development Manager at Stockholm Business Region Development.

One of the companies on the list is Optolexia, which has developed software that analyses eye movements in order to detect reading and writing disorders in children at an early stage. Another company on the list is Gnosco. The company offers a mobile application and platform for streamlining patient flows in health care, for example for early detection of skin cancer and chronic wounds.

- So much is happening in digital health; we’re constantly seeing new companies and groundbreaking innovations. With strengths in mobile communication, health care and world-class life science companies, Stockholm has an excellent foundation in the field, says Ylva Hultman, Business Development Manager.

To qualify for inclusion on the list, companies must offer a product or service based on unique research that will lead to a commercial solution with global potential. They must also be established in the market with a finished product or service, or be close to the commercialization phase.

In addition to Optolexia and GnoscoPilloxaTimesulin and Werlabs are the new companies on the list.
