Klara City View – a property in the heart of Stockholm for sale
For the first time in many years, the City of Stockholm has land to sell in the city center. The gross floor area is about 20 000 square meters. The property has the Central station, the City Hall and the open waters of Riddarfjärden as neighbours.
During 2018, the City of Stockholm plans to sell off land in the absolute center of downtown Stockholm, as well as its central business district. The land overlooks the Old Town and the open waters of Riddarfjärden.
- It is hard to find a more centrally located place in Stockholm. The closest neighbours are the City Hall, where the annual Nobel Banquet is held, and the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre, which houses both conferences, concerts and other events. Communication links in the area are excellent, with 250 meters to Stockholm Central station, with domestic and regional train links, commuter train, underground and express link to Stockholm’s main airport, Arlanda, says Olle Zetterberg, CEO Stockholm Business Region.
Klarastrandsleden, which forms part of Stockholm’s north/southbound road infrastructure axis, runs through the property. Within four minutes’ walking distance lies Stockholm’s main shopping district with restaurants and cafes. A number of large property owners in the immediate area surrounding the Central Station have started extensive real estate and urban development projects.
- The City wants to see a variety of real estate, with both offices, commercial space, housing and public services. High demands will also be set for the architectural design, says Håkan Falk, Director of the Development Administration, City of Stockholm.
The land will be made ready for construction through a rebuilding of the existing traffic infrastructure, which will be sold to the highest bidder by a tendering procedure.
