Stockholm Songwriting Camp returns with long term vision

After a successful premier launch in January 2015 Stockholm Songwriting Camp returns to the Pop House Hotel at the beginning of February 2016 for it’s second year with partners ABBA the Museum, Stockholm Business Region, STIM and Auddly.

- It was very successful last time and now we are investing long term in the songwriting camp, says Björn Ulvaeus, one of the initiators of the camp and the owner of the house.

Priding itself on diversity the confirmations for 2016 attendees so far include writers from America, England, Sweden, South Sudan, Australia, France and Jamaica and have written and released songs with artists such as One Direction, Cee Lo Green, Joshua Radin, Zara Larsson, Kylie Minogue, Avicii and Rihanna.

- We pride ourselves on working for the writers and what makes us different from a lot of camps is the fact that we do not claim any publishing rights, all property is the writers – we are simply the meeting place, says Niclas Molinder, founder and co-owner of the camp and founder of Auddly.

To be held 5th – 8th February 2016 Stockholm Songwriting Camp is a 3 day event with 45 writers and producers attending. The writers spend the three days at the Pop House Hotel and are placed into groups of three which are rotated each day. Thanks to the Yamaha, Fender and 4sound 15 of the rooms are made into producer suites allowing for total immersion in the writing process.
