LK appoint new managing director in Finland
Heating, plumbing and marine industry specialists LK have recruited Jens Nurmi as new managing director for the company’s operations in Finland. LK will be making further appointments in the future to hone its sales organisation and achieve a larger market share.
Jens Nurmi has a career spanning 20 years in a variety of sales and management positions in the HVAC industry, beginning at Ahlsell before moving on to Roth Nordic and for the past 10 years as country manager for Finland at Broen. He will now be leading LK’s work to develop the Water and Heating Systems business unit for the Finnish market.
“This feels very inspiring. LK has a good reputation, both among customers and as an employer. It is a family business with stable and long-term ownership. I have been well received and have a strong team of skilled staff,” says Jens Nurmi.
LK’s offices and warehouse are located in Tusby, just outside Helsinki. The company’s Finnish business has a staff of 12 and will soon be reinforced with a couple of further recruitments. The customer base consists of installers, consultants and wholesalers in the HVAC industry.
“We are in the process of making a number of organisational changes aimed at increasing our focus on sales. We will raise our visibility among customers, and develop collaborations with HVAC wholesalers,” Jens Nurmi continues.
LK have built a strong position in the underfloor heating sector in Finland. The goal now is to take a larger market share within the company’s other areas of specialisation; tap-water systems and prefabricated HVAC solutions.
“With his background and experience, Jens is the perfect person to lead this work. He has succeeded admirably in his previous positions and has a proven record of building successful businesses,” says Michael Söderberg, business unit manager at LK.
