Reuse the coffee grounds

Reuse, refine and enjoy one more time. Coffee grounds can be used for a lot of good things. Here are some of them.

  • Wet the grounds and use as a body scrub in the shower. Feel free to mix it with some organic coconut oil for a softening effect.
  • Use grounds to get rid of unpleasant smells in your fridge and from your hands or for scrubbing your pots and pans clean.
  • Caffeine is a natural insecticide that can help keeping bugs and Spanish slugs out. Sprinkle some grounds in your pots and get a fertilizing effect at the same time.
  • Moist the grounds and use it to make wood look aged; perfect for scratches in dark wooden tables.

To reuse the coffee grounds is one of the tips in Löfbergs’s #helakoppen - an initiative to help more people make use of the whole cup and make the most of their coffee. By using the whole cup, the consumers will get more for their money at the same time as we make a joint effort for the environment.
