Axis Technologies begins the year 2016 with the project in Sweden

Axis Technologies company of Axis Industries group of companies will implement its third and yet the largest project in Sweden. Having signed the contract with Savsjo Energi energy company, the Lithuanian company will build an 8 MW biofuel boiler house on turnkey basis in the city of Savsjo, i.e. will manufacture the basic equipment, mount, commission and adjust it. The value of the project amounts to 3.5 million euro.

“We won the largest project in the Western countries to date by defeating as many as nine participants from the Scandinavian countries. We are ready for competition against the strongest western companies, and for export of our products and services to the top developed markets,” said Giedrius Vaitkevičius, the Director General of Axis Technologies.

The Lithuanian company began construction of the boiler house in January and expects to complete this project in March of 2017.

This is the third project of Axis Technologies in Sweden this year. The biofuel boiler house of the wood processing company Hilmer Andersson was constructed in Sweden several months ago. Axis Technologies supplied the furnace, boiler and electrostatic precipitator for this boiler house.

At the moment Axis Technologies is about to complete another project in the city of Gislaved. In the biofuel boiler house with the capacity of 5 MW, the Lithuanian company will install a flue gas condensing economizer, which will allow to increase the boiler capacity by 25 per cent without using additional fuel, offer more efficient heating production and save costs of the heating supply company.

According to Mr. Vaitkevičius, Axis Technologies made its way into the league of biofuel energy experts a decade ago, when they began cooperation with the Swedish company Saxlund Bioenergy, and later acquired the boiler house furnace certificate of this company. Furnaces manufactured under this license are at the moment installed at the Estonian biomass-fired combined heat and power plant and at the biofuel combined heat and power plant constructed in Kaunas. These furnaces are successfully operating at another 7 sites in Lithuania and abroad.
