Magisso supports original products

24 Finnish design companies, including Magisso, have started together #loveoriginal campaign to support genuine design products. We all know that copying is a global problem.

The design process is usually long and expensive journey. The final product is a result of talented people and their countless hours of work. It is sad to see that some people don’t see that but only an opportunity to make money out of other people’s work.

The campaign is especially important for us because we have had infringement issues with our iconic Cake Server.

“Fortunately, we have secured IP rights for the product and we have been able to fight against copies,” says Juhani Siren, CEO of Magisso

Hopefully there will be a way to protect designs systematically in the future so that design companies can stay busy creating something new and don’t need to spend time monitoring copycats.
