Nautisk launches on-demand chart printing service in Argentina

Mariners can now access on-demand chart printing in South America with the launch of a new Print on Demand Location (PODL) by global maritime navigation expert, Nautisk.

Nautisk has been a chart agent for more than 120 years, and as part of its transformation towards digital products and services has effectively streamlined its paper chart operation. Nautisk has partnered with Chart Patagonia, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to give mariners rapid access to paper charts and publications on-demand.

Nautisk’s Head of Marketing, John Dawson, said: “While we are focused on expanding our range of digital navigation services to the market, we are also streamlining our approach to paper services. The PODL service makes chart and publication printing more efficient, and more accessible for mariners.

“We are expanding our services globally, and Chart Patagonia will help us to broaden our reach and ensure we continue to provide first-class navigation solutions to customers.”

Nautisk’s new PODL joins 15 of its other strategic locations across the globe, including, Oslo, UK and Hong Kong. The service joins its range of innovative, digital navigation products, including the NaviPlanner™ route planning app and NaviTab™ digital document library.
