Nautisk strengthens PAYS solution with PAYS+

PAYS+ utilises data from PRIMAR and enables customers to take advantage of all the benefits of PAYS, but without the premium cost associated with the service. It also allows shipping companies to pre-define core operational areas for a particular vessel and access a 12 month licence for those areas, at a reduced cost.

Peter J Pran, Nautisk Head of Global Sales says:

“PAYS already gives customers access to a comprehensive folio of ENCs for any particular trading route, but part of the benefit of accessing the data freely for planning purposes is that a premium is charged on the ENC cells licensed through PAYS.”

“The PAYS+ service allows us to remove the premium on ENC cells for certain trading areas. In addition, it allows the vessel to pre-define a standard trading area where the ENC cells will be licensed on a longer period than the standard three months. Once the area is set up, this process is automatic, which of course leads to simpler ENC management for the vessel and reduced cost for shipping companies.”

PAYS+ currently covers 16 major global routes:

Brazil
Estonia
Croatia
Finland
France
Georgia
Greece
Iran
Latvia
Lithuania
Montenegro
Mozambique
Norway
Poland
Russia
Sweden

Nautisk’s PAYS solution enables users to access global ENCs for use with onboard ECDIS systems, whilst only paying for those that are actually used. PAYS is fully compliant with current SOLAS regulations and requires no additional onboard equipment.
