Navigational planning app enhances offering with Norwegian charts

Mariners can now safely navigate the Norwegian coast at a fraction of the usual cost thanks to maritime navigation expert, Nautisk™. Its navigational planning app, NaviPlotter™, will offer Norwegian digital charts for just 5Kr for the first 12 months.

As the season starts for mariners across the globe, Norwegian boating enthusiasts will be able to explore the Norwegian coastline and visit new places using the NaviPlotter ™ app.

Available as a free download with in-app purchases, NaviPlotter™ provides yachtsmen and boat owners with a way to access important voyage planning tools through a handheld device, including iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

“NaviPlotter™ is the perfect companion to anyone heading out on the water this season, capable of planning routes, showing live ship data as well as NMEA wind, depth and boat speed support,” explains Simon Gliddon, NaviPlotter™ product manager at the digital navigation business.

“Professional grade ENC charts are available to purchase through the app, and now Norwegian charts are being offered at a discounted rate for the first year. It gives leisure mariners the confidence to be out on the water no matter what time of day, able to safely navigate their routes.”

Nautisk™ recently announced a new thermal night-vision feature for NaviPlotter™, enabling users to access a thermal imaging display in augmented reality view by connecting a FLIR ONE camera to the app.
