STIC CCN-CERT - When a pentester meets machine learning
Event date 11 December 2019 15:35 – 16:05
Location Kinépolis (Ciudad de la Imagen) C/ Edgar Neville, s/n 28223 Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid)
At the annual STIC CCN-CERT Conference on CIS Security, Jose Selvi will talk about how penetration testers began using Machine Learning techniques to help solve problems.
He’ll show how we improved the random forest classifier by implementing feature reduction techniques and, finally, also an example of offensive approach, using anomaly detection techniques when fuzzing input parameters in web applications.
For each of these examples, we will cover the path from the first approach we took to the final solution, describing all the mistakes and lessons learned.
