Press release -

New Head of Finance at NGI

Cecilie Ertresvaag joins as the new Head of Finance at NGI from 1st April. Ertresvaag comes from a position as corporate controller at Multiconsult, and will strengthen NGI's strategic, financial and commercial expertise.

The new Head of Finance will work closely together with the current Head, Mimoun Bouhmidi, who has been in this position for a number of years. He continues with NGI as accounting manager.

"I am looking forward to start at a recognized institution in an industry that I like, and that I know well from my time at Multiconsult. In addition, I think it is particularly exciting to begin in a commercial foundation with a defined purpose and an explicit commitment to society, after many years in the private commercial sector. The combination of research and development, and a professional scientific focus combined with a commercial way of thinking, is very appealing. I am looking forward to getting to know the organization and the people, and to become a part of the NGI family", says NGI's new Head of Finance.

Operational background

Cecilie Ertresvaag is a graduate from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen, with specialization in accounting and financial management. After graduating, she worked with audit and revision for a couple of years, and then with financial and economic management in different industries with different ownership structures. As corporate controller in Multiconsult she has been instrumental in an IPO and the implementation of a new ERP system.

"The number of projects, assignments and commercial cooperation is continuously increasing. To strengthen NGI's strategic, financial and commercial ability, it is necessary to expand and strengthen the finance function. We have expectations that Cecilie Ertresvaag has the right combination of operational and strategic background and expertise, which will contribute to NGI's continued development as an international leading centre for research, development and consulting within the engineering related geosciences", says Lars Andresen, Managing Director at NGI.
