Structural earthquake engineering design

NORSAR, NGI (Norwegian Geotechnical Institute), RIF (Consulting Engineers’ Association) and Standards Norway offer a course in the use of Eurocode 8 - Design of earthquake resistant structures, 15-16 November 2018.

Since March 2010, EUROCODE is the only valid standard for structural engineering design in Norway. EUROCODE 8 is probably one of the the codes which deviates most from what the Norwegian professional community has been used to. At the same time, earthquakes will represent a more dominant factor in structural design than before.

The course will be held in Lillestrøm, outside Oslo, 15-16 November 2018, and is suited for those who is responsible for, and deal with structural enginrering design in Norway. It will be held in Norwegian, with the exception of a couple of Englsih lectures.
