The Nobel Peace Prize events 2018: Media Accreditation now open

The press accreditation for the official Nobel Peace Prize events in Oslo in December is now open. The media accreditation portal is open from Thursday 1 November until Sunday 25 November. Please note that some of the events require separate accreditation - there is no joint accreditation.

Sunday 9 December: Press Preview of the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition 2018:

Welcome to the preview of the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition 2018. Since 2005, the Nobel Peace Center has created an annual peace prize exhibition. This year's exhibition is the fourteenth of the series and highlights the fight against sexual violence as a weapon of war and conflict, and the work of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureates Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad. The exhibition will officially open on 11 December (see below) and will open to the public on 12 December.

Time: 9 December 14:30-16:30

Place: Nobel Peace Center, Brynjulf Bulls place 1 / Rådhusplassen

Monday 10 December: Save the Children's Peace Prize party

Save the Children's Peace Prize party is organized by and for children, where the honorary guests are the year's peace prize laureates. Monday 10 December: An alternative way to follow the Award Ceremony

Media representatives not accredited to the Ceremony in the Oslo City Hall are welcome to the Nobel Peace Center where the Ceremony will be transmitted live to the public at 13:00 CET.

The Nobel Peace Center is located next to the Oslo City Hall, on the seaside.

Wi-Fi is available. No accreditation required.

Tuesday 11 December: Official opening of the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition 2018

Since 2005, the Nobel Peace Center has created an annual peace prize exhibition. This year's exhibition is the fourteenth of the series and highlights the fight against sexual violence as a weapon of war and conflict, and the work of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize laureates Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad. The Peace Prize Exhibition always opens the day after the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony at the City Hall and is opened by the laureates themselves.

Time: December 11, 16:45 (The press must arrive no later than 16:00)

Place: Nobel Peace Center, Brynjulf Bulls place 1 / Rådhusplassen

Accreditation: This is a closed event with access only for invited and accredited press (photographers only). Media interested in covering the opening must contact Ingvill Bryn Rambøl, ibr@nobelpeacecenter.org, before Sunday 25 November.
