To the Editors: UN Secretary-General visits the Nobel Peace Center

On Tuesday 19 June, UN Secretary-General António Guterres will visit the Nobel Peace Center together with Prime Minister Erna Solberg. They will kick start a new exhibition about the Sustainable Development Goals, showing in the entrance hall of the Center this summer.

The exhibition Take the Ball – Hit the Goals features the UN Sustainability Goals, and will be opened by UN Secretary-General 19 June at 14:00. The visit is private, and press who want to follow the visit must apply for accreditation here by 13:00 on Thursday 14 June.

PM Erna Solberg will arrive at the Nobel Peace Center at 13:50, and together with Director Liv Tørres she will welcome the Secretary-General at 13:55. The two guests will have a short visit in the exhibition and together, they will sign a SDG Soccer ball which will be on display in the exhibition. The ball is playing an important role in the SDG Advocacy work. It is also used for the matches at Norway Cup, a big, international youth football tournament held in Oslo every year. As a part of the exhibition, the audience will be invited to “take the ball” and try to hit the goal.

The exhibition Take the Ball – Hit the will be showing in the entrance hall of the Nobel Peace Center from 19 June until 20 August.
