The amazing field trip to Teleperformance

For some students, a trip to Bacolod City is rare. Much more a visit to a Teleperformance, a call center in the Philippines and one of the largest BPO employers in the country. BagoSphere is privileged to be able to have our students visit a top-rate BPO and get a first taste of what it is like to work in a call center.

Our goal for the field was to allow students to experience:

  • Life of a TP call centre agent from a potential hire to a regular (selection process, training, nesting ,regularization)
  • Meet people from QA, Workforce and perhaps Team Leader - people that agents interact with frequently

Paul Felton, the assistant recruitment manager and Levi Trio, the Admin/PR Officer of Teleperformance Bacolod were very accommodating and friendly - which help to allay any fears of our students - most of them their first visit to a multi-national company. When the students entered the production floor, they were greeted with applause because the agents on the floor mistook them for new call center agents. In all, our students got to enjoyed the warm hospitality of the people at Teleperformance.

It was a great experience for our students, and many of them returned to Bago City with lots of excitement of what the new year will bring. For many, working in a company such as Teleperformance is a dream come true.
