Buy Finnish Products Day 1.12.2017 – maybe your Salli Saddle Chair was upholstered by Riitta or Jesse?

Today 1.12. is Buy Finnish Products Day in Finland! And what could be more appropriate than letting Salli makers tell about their own Finnish favourites. Upholster / production workers Riitta Kosunen and Jesse Nenonen work at Salli factory in Rautalampi, Finland, where Salli chairs are individually padded and upholstered. Salli Saddle Chairs are entitled to the Key Flag symbol – so they are excellent buys today!

Riitta Kosunen: My favourite Finnish product is naturally Fazer’s Blue Chocolate, it has been since I was a child. I’ve always said that chocolate is not really candy; I don’t even care for candy. One of the three versions must always be found in my kitchen cupboard, you never know when you feel like something sweet. You don’t have to eat a lot of it at one go.

Another Finnish favourite is Kalevala jewelry, especially Heart of the house series. I prefer bronze jewelry, they reflect the past and appeal to my hunger for history. At the same time, being subdued and calming, they are suitable for the modern life.

My Salli favourite is SwingFit, upholstered with some nice Rainbow colour combination. My back gave me problems a year ago, but it likes the swinging movement. I use SwingFit both at home and at work.

I suggested to my own son that we could give his godson, who will be starting school soon, a Salli Slim Swing. It would be nice to have seat covers also for the Slim models!

Jesse Nenonen: What is my Finnish favourite? That is an easy question, it is definitely rye bread, with a thin layer of Finnish butter. In this combination the looks and taste meet the most important: the knowledge that it is made for us, with love.

Of Salli products I really prefer Salli Swing. It follows my movements, and believe me, I tend to move a lot when I'm sitting! For me it has become the means to ease the pain in the lower back. You’ll need proof and here it comes: try sitting on a hard bench and swing your pelvis. After that jump on a Salli Swing and do the same. You will notice the difference!

For Christmas I would buy a Salli Slim Swing. It is nice and slender and appealing to the eye. It is also easy and light to carry around, if you need to take it with you somewhere. I would buy it for my son.
