Season 3 of “Master of Torque” Released

IWATA, April 27, 2016 – Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announces the April 27,

2016 global release of the final episode of “Master of Torque,” an original short entertainment

anime series that began with its first episode released online in the spring of 2014.

Like the previous installments of the anime, Season 3 will be released on the internet via the

anime’s special website and the official Yamaha Motor YouTube channel. In addition to the

original Japanese version, Season 3 can be viewed with subtitles in five additional languages:

English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Season 1 was released in the spring and through to summer of 2014, and was followed by

Season 2 in the spring of 2015. Season 3 will again use Japanese animation to tell a fictional

story and illustrate the unique characteristics of Yamaha’s MT Series of motorcycles and the

joy that comes from controlling a motorcycle at will. Until now, the stage was in Tokyo, the

globally recognized source of modern Japanese culture, but this final installment moves the

story to the foot of Mt. Fuji, the final destination of Route 246, to bring the dramatic story of

three motorcyclists to a climax.

The anime’s production combines the storytelling and animation techniques of Japanese

animation and the talent of several accomplished anime voice actors. These aspects have

won popularity among young people in countries throughout Europe and North America as

well as the countries of the ASEAN region. Younger generations have become less interested

in vehicles in general, but they are very familiar with anime, and Yamaha Motor hopes this

entertainment series will help communicate the exhilarating fun a motorcycling lifestyle can

bring.
