Press release -

Go mobile with Projectplace’s Social Business apps for iPad, iPhone and Android

Projectplace, the European leader in social collaboration tools, announces that its new and improved iPad and iPhone apps are now available at the App Store. Also available for download is the updated Android app. The new apps follow the company’s launch in June of a redesigned and more social Projectplace and the increased focus on offering its service on all major mobile platforms.

“Today’s users want to be a part of information flow whenever and wherever they are, in a structured and secure environment. The new and upgraded apps include some of our most popular and useful social functions for people on the move.  We are continuously improving our offering, and will continue to deliver more social features on the most common mobile platforms,” says Johan Zetterström, CEO, Projectplace.

Mobile social functionality
The upgraded mobile apps for iPad and iPhone are easy to navigate and let users take advantage of some of the most popular functions in Projectplace. They can, for example, get a quick information overview, exchange ideas and discuss ongoing projects they are members of, respond, comment and like.

In the Conversations social tool, which provides an aggregated view of all projects, users can post comments and images just like they do on their laptops. It is very easy to, for example, share a drawing on the white board - just take a photo with the iPhone or iPad and share it with the other project members. The users can also find the documents most recently worked on, read and comment on project documents, see what documents the co-workers are working on and save documents for offline reading.

In addition, the iPad app also includes Actions board functionality which allows users to add and prioritise new actions, assign actions to different project members, and drag and drop the action cards according to their status: Planned, Working On or Done. Users can also edit actions and move actions from one board to another.

The Android app includes the same document handling features as well as a limited version of Actions. Users can see their personal actions listed under Planned, Working On or Done, and Add New Actions. The Android app has also been redesigned for improved navigation, and further functionality such as Conversations will be added soon.

The new Projectplace
In June Projectplace launched an updated version of its tools. The complete re-design and new set of social planning tools include an interactive timeline, progress widgets and Actions board. The new features are designed to improve collaboration, efficiency, commitment and project success. The launch was the first of many steps in supporting organisations as they shift into social businesses.

“We will now continue our efforts to make Projectplace even more social. The new Projectplace will help companies adopt the growing social business trend, and increase their efficiency and productivity through smoother collaboration among project team members,” says Johan Zetterström.
