Launch of the new Projectplace – new design, social features and mobile apps

Stockholm, June 19, 2012Projectplace, the leader in social collaboration tools, today announced the launch of the new Projectplace. With this launch, Projectplace has seen a complete re-design, a new set of of social planning tools and new mobile applications for iPad and Android. The new tools, which include an actions board, widgets and an interactive timeline, are designed to improve collaboration, efficiency, engagement and project success in both enterprise-wide implementations and cross-organisational project teams. Today’s launch is the first of many steps in supporting organisations in transforming into social businesses.

The new Projectplace makes project collaboration more social and engaging, which results in increased commitment and motivation on the part of project members and in the organisation as a whole.

The new social features include:

  • Actions: The actions board, a visual and social planning tool, gives the team a rapid overview of what currently is happening and how work is progressing. With the tool, teams can list virtual action cards in “post-it note” style under columns, according to progress status: Planned, Working on or Done.
  • Timeline: The new, interactive timeline displays important deliverables, tollgates and project steps, making it easy for all project members and stakeholders to keep track of the overall project and the specific steps toward project completion.
  • Widgets: Widgets give the team an instant, visual update of the project’s progress, days remaining until current project step completion and status of team spirit - indicating the team’s overall satisfaction level to the project manager and stakeholders.
  • Design: Easier, cleaner and more intuitive, the re-designed interface and navigation allow users to better focus on the project work. Sharing documents, communicating with team members and keeping track of tasks has never been easier.

New mobility solutions
The launch also brings new and updated apps for those on the move. The new iPad app, soon to be released in the App Store, provides access to projects and manyof the features in Actions and Documents. An updated Android app will also offer new features.

The new social features are now available to all Projectplace customers, effective today. The new apps will be available soon.
