Stockholm, October 06, 2010 – Today, Swedish online collaboration tool Projectplace launched an update of its iPhone application, allowing users to access project information on the go. With a strong focus on innovative and social features for professional project work, the updated application facilitates more social interaction between project members.
Projectplace for iPhone has now come out of its beta version and has been upgraded to include Projectplace’s new social project conversation tool. This new conversation feature facilitates quick and transparent communication between members, very much like that of Facebook, and enables social media interaction at the project level.
“After a long period of beta testing we have now found the right set of collaboration functions that fits the iPhone perfectly,” said Mattias Hällström, Projectplace founder and Director of R&D. “We are now able to provide our users with an incredible mobile user experience.”
Based on the vision of transparent and instant team communication, Projectplace makes recently launched social functions from the project tool accessible via iPhone. The main ambition is to provide Projectplace users with unlimited global access to project information and enable a more flexible work style. Projectplace for iPhone provides an intuitive user interface and facilitates collaboration from wherever you are.
With Projectplace for iPhone you can:
• View all project conversations and communicate easily with team members
• Access contact details of all project members in one place
• Receive notifications when changes are made in your projects
• Read, review, follow and comment on shared documents
• Answer meeting requests directly in the calendar
• View and update the status of ongoing work

The presentation of this application follows last year’s successful launch of the beta version. The introduction follows the recently released social Project Overview. Both tools are essential elements of the company’s manifesto, The Projectplace Way and the underlying Social Project Management approach.
Projectplace for iPhone is completely free of charge for all Projectplace users. It is available at AppStore from October 6.
