On Tuesday the 1st of December 2016, Satair Group welcomed the A380 to Copenhagen. At exactly 12.05PM the Emirates A380 aircraft landed for the first time on its new Copenhagen-Dubai route and Satair Group in Copenhagen was ready with a big welcome smile - and cake.
Emirates now deploys the world's biggest aircraft on its route to Copenhagen and this makes Copenhagen Airport the first Nordic airport to be served by the big Airbus in scheduled service.
The announcement that Emirates will be flying the A380 on the Copenhagen route came almost four years after the airline first connected the Danish capital with Dubai. For the route, Emirates will use the world's first A380 in a configuration with two cabin classes and seating capacity for 615 passengers.
Airbus Material & Supply Chain Services and Satair are part of Satair Group, a 100% stand-alone company and Airbus subsidiary with $1.3 billion revenue, more than 1,000 employees worldwide and a vision to become the global market leader in the civil aircraft parts management business in 2017.
