A-One presents vibrant spring-summer collection – designed by Bernadotte & Kylberg

Bold, colorful fabrics form the foundation for City Dawn—A-One’s spring-summer 2015 collection designed by Bernadotte & Kylberg. The palette ranges from lime and olive green to powder pink and bright yellow with orange details.

A-One is a Swedish operation that was launched in 1977 in Stockholm. Success followed very quickly—thanks to its top-quality ski jackets with lots of smart, new functions such as removable down linings. When the company announced its partnership with designers Bernadotte & Kylberg in spring 2014, the A-One brand was revitalized. The partnership took A-One from the slopes to the city. With quality and function at the core of the 2015 spring-summer collection, Bernadotte & Kylberg challenge the status quo and the expected.

The colors of dawn inspired the collection—colors that create atmosphere as the sun strikes the city; hence the name City Dawn. Strong colors characterize both the fashion year of 2015 as well as A-One's new collection. Although A-One still offers its classics in black, navy blue and olive green. Its down jackets, whose vertical panels are a visual link to the A-One brand, remain in the collection and several new models are added.

“The A-One collaboration is exciting and inspiring,” says Oscar Kylberg, CEO of Bernadotte & Kylberg, “and we’re looking forward to showing the spring-summer collection. Technologies and fabrics reflect our stringent standards for quality and fit. The jackets that we design must be both comfortable and attractive.”

The collection includes 14 models: eight for women and six for men. The collection will go on sale in February 2015; prices range between SEK 1595 and 2395 (USD 230–350/EUR 175–260).

Terje Cambrand, designer and product developer, launched the A-One brand in 1977. The concept was to design jackets for people who do things outdoors—jackets designed and made with innovative details and carefully selected fabrics. At the start, he designed comfortable ski jackets with smart details and fabrics necessary for fulfilling functional requirements. The jackets were so successful that they became everyday wear, off the slopes. Large department stores, such as NK and Snowlife, sold them.
