Warner Bros. Pictures signs distribution agreement with SF Studios in Sweden

Warner Bros. Pictures has signed a film distribution agreement with SF Studios in Sweden that will complement the existing distribution agreement that Warner Bros. Pictures already has with SF Studios in Denmark, Norway and Finland, making SF Studios the Nordic partner of Warner Bros. Pictures.

SF Studios has been handling the sales, marketing and distribution of Warner Bros. Pictures’ films into cinemas in Denmark, Norway and Finland since 2011, and the new deal extends this arrangement to also cover Sweden. The new deal will be effective as of July 1, 2019.

“SF Studios is a valued distribution partner in Denmark, Norway and Finland, we are excited to continue our partnership in Sweden and build on our successful work together across the Nordic region”, says Jacques Dubois, Senior Vice President, EMEA Theatrical Licensee Distribution and Strategy, Warner Bros. Pictures.

"We are very happy and proud to expand our collaboration with one of the world’s leading film studios Warner Bros. Pictures, to Sweden. Together we have the ambition to continue to grow the Nordic cinema industry with films that attract a large and wide audience”, says Michael Porseryd, CEO at SF Studios.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ theatrical releases scheduled for 2019 in the Nordics include ”IT: Chapter Two”, ”Joker” and ”Doctor Sleep”.
