Immigration – Changes to Pay Limit Scheme in Denmark
The Danish Parliament has on 2 June approved a bill, which will take effect for all applications for residence and work permits on the pay limit scheme (with or without fast track certification) submitted to The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) as of 1 July 2017.
- The minimum salary limit (MSL) will remain DKK 408,800 per year.
- Only cash salary can be used to comply with the MSL (housing, transportation and any other allowances can no longer be included in the MSL).
- Salary amounts up to DKK 408,800 must be paid to the employee into a Danish bank account.
- All applications submitted before 1 July 2017 will follow the current legislation.
