Aviad Arik Herman, official sponsor and designer for Miss Universe Sweden, presented his creations at latest Shine event. We asked him some questions:

 What is your opinion about the event with Shine?
It has been a wonderful experience to be a guest at the Shine Event. Festive atmosphere, delicious beverages and champagne served, interesting variety of creative exhibitors, lots of lovely and happy people who came to network and celebrate Design & Music.GötbeborgsOperan's kind contribution with a lottery winning 2 tickets for the musical Kristina från Duvemåla, added to the excitement of the evening. The show portion on stage was a very inspiring treat, with such a unique privilege to see and hear the personal stories behind two significant artist behind the success of ABBA. A very special boost of motivation I got from the pleasant encounter with Mr. Owe Sandström, ABBA's original stage costumes designer, who was so supportive and encouraging my design work.This man is rare, and his generous words of complements I did not take for granted. 

Are there any design projects coming soon?
I am currently working on a few very exciting projects;
Camilla Hansson, Miss Universe Sweden 2014, who is a gorgeous and wonderful lady. Camilla will be representing Sweden at the coming Miss Universe pageant in Miami on January 2015, wearing a new Evening Gown & National Costume which I have the privilege to exclusively designing for her.We will reveal the National Costume later this year and prior to the competition, though the evening gown will be seen for the first time on the real pageant's stage.It is very inspiring to design for Camilla, and I trust she will be successful in the pageant and make us all proud! She is passionate,  devoted and committed, and works very hard towards this extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime experience!It is a great honour and responsibility for us to represent Sweden in the largest beauty pageant in the world, broadcasted in over with more than 1 billion people watching.
Also coming up is my young sister's wedding. for that I am designing her Wedding Gown, as well as an Evening dress for my mother.It is specially meaningful to have the opportunity and contribute to such an important family event with my design crafts.
There are also a couple of new stage productions lining up which I will be designing the costumes for.
In addition, I enrolled to the Show Up Fashion Award 2014, which is a competition for designers in Sweden organised by Marketplace Borås.The jury members in this competition are a few of the key and important characters in the Swedish fashion industry, such as Haute Couture designer Lars Wallin, Margareta vad den Bosch from H&M, Marcus Larsson from LJUNG, Rossana Mariano from RMPR, Gesica Tawakkoli Gunmalm from Modeink, and Minna Engström Heino from Nordisk Designskola.The finals will take place on Thursday, November 27th.The public is also encouraged to express their support and vote for their favourite candidate.I would very much appreciate your support, it is a very small effort voting on the following link:

3. Will you be guesting Shine again in future?
This has been a nice platform to showcase my design work here in the city of Gothenburg.It would be a delight for me to guest in the Shine event again in the future :)
