NEW ECO-SMART MESH

BABYBJÖRN has produced its first fabric products in recycled material – Baby Carrier One Air and Bouncer Bliss in Recycled Mesh. Recycled Mesh is a high-tech 3D mesh that is made of recycled polyester from post-consumer PET plastic bottles. This fabric has been developed exclusively by and for BABYBJÖRN.

BABYBJÖRN wanted to find a more eco-friendly alternative to its conventional mesh fabric and the most difficult challenge has been to develop a fabric strong enough for the baby carrier’s advanced construction. The fabric needs to be soft and flexible enough to ensure that the baby sits comfortably in a natural position, and yet firm enough to provide good support to the baby’s back and neck.

NEW CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON

Organic Cotton is made of certified organic cotton that has been grown completely without pesticides and in a way that has less negative impact on the environment than traditional processes.

And of course, just like all our baby carriers and bouncers, these fabrics are approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. 

The new Baby Carrier One Air and Bouncer Bliss in Recycled Mesh and organic cotton will be launched in a limited edition during autumn 2018.
