How to use BIMobject® in social media platforms like Houzz.com

One of the most used new platforms of social media for architects, designers and contractors must surely be www.houzz.com/

In Houzz you can upload reference photos of your great designs, projects or reference cases. This can be done by Architets, designers and other professionals who want to share their work. Manufacturers can upload photos of customer cases and share with the community of buyers, customers and others.

You can easily create you own ideabook and share it with others on facebook, twitter and other social media. Any product on the BIMobject® portal can be added to your ideabook on houzz, giving you a new fresh way to create a favourite collection of BIM objects or do a vision board presentation for a potential client. 

The links back to the actual BIMobject® remains so it is easy to find the downloadable object to your favourite CAD and BIM system.

Another even better way to work with BIMobject® and Houzz is to upload photos or 3D renderings that you can add products and information to with tags.  This means you can ”tag” products as BIM objects in the photos. We have uploaded some photos and tagged the products in the photo with links to the real BIMobjects. This way you create awareness and present your products in a context of the design. Clicking on a tag takes you back to the actual product on the BIMobject® portal presenting all product information and additional features.
