Brännland Cider wins Gold and Silver medals at Ratebeer Best 2016

As the awards from Ratebeer Best 2016 were announced February 2nd Brännland Cider were awarded Gold and Silver respectively in the Best by style, Cider and Perry category, for Brännland Iscider Barrique 2013 and Brännland Iscider 2014.
Ratebeer is the premier international commercial beer awards program with a truly worldwide reach and more than 470,000 beers from over 26,000 brewers worldwide present in the competition. Ratebeer Best having grown exponentially over the past 15 years "Cider and Perry" is now also included as a competition category.
Ratebeer Best awarded a total of 15 medals, Gold, Silver and Bronze to eight producers from Europe, USA and Canada with Brännland Iscider Barrique 2013 placing second over all.

To be among the producers awarded medals in what is the largest beer competition in the world is a testament to our hard work over the short period of time that Brännland Cider has been a commercial cider producer. We just entered the US market together with Skurnik wines and the Ratebeer Best medals could not have come at a better time.

Brännland Cider produces cider using 100% Swedish apples for a national and international market. The company's first vintage, an ice cider produced in the Swedish county of Västerbotten, not far from the arctic circle, using Swedish apples in adherence to the denomination set in the country of origin of ice cider, Canada, was released in 2012.
