Abused Emojis make it easier for kids to call out for help

Some things are hard to spell out. Abused Emojis will make it easier for kids to talk to others about dark feelings or about situations where they have been treated wrong.

BRIS is a Swedish NGO that runs a national helpline for children and teenagers. Many of the problems that kids face today are stigmatized and often they have no one else to talk to.

A complex reality calls for a complex set of symbols. Abused Emojis is part of Bris’ work to let children talk more freely about their situation.

BRIS is a Swedish non-profit organisation that runs a national helpline for children and teenagers. Every day we have contact with hundreds of kids through phone, chat and mail conversation. Many of the problems that children face today are stigmatised and often they have no-one to talk to but us. In addition to being a hands-on tool for kids to speak out, The Abused Emojis app is a symbol for our work to make children talk more freely about their situation.
