Burt, the online advertising software developer, has after receiving a substantial investment from Swedish investment company, Industrifonden successfully started off the planned international expansion by signing a deal with among others Norwegian Nettavisen and Finn.no.
Burt was established in Sweden in 2009 and the international expansion will see Burt opening offices across new markets, starting off with a strong launch in Norway. The Norwegian market is one of the world’s most advanced markets for online brand advertising, with industry organization INMA successfully pushing for increased quality and adoption of online media as a viable alternative to print and TV. Publishers like Nettavisen and Finn.no are strong leaders in the Norwegian market and are adopting Burt’s analytics platform in order to further improve.
The Burt analytics platform transforms the Internet into a powerful advertising channel by helping media owners better understand and raise the quality of their advertising product, and help advertisers to understand and maximize the value of a superior ad environment.

In addition to the Burt launch in Norway, CEO Gustav von Sydow has also been featured as a guest speaker at the INMA annual conference on January 30 in Oslo, Norway. In his talk he presented how both advertisers and online publishers can win big by moving away from an obsessive optimization technology, cookies and clicks, and instead focus on understanding the audience and deliver a better experience to capture their attention.
