Cabonline Group solidifies its position in Finland through the acquisition of Inva-Taksi Oy

Cabonline Group announced today that it has acquired Finland’s largest and oldest specialised transport provider Inva-Taksi Oy. The acquisition will support Cabonline Group’s entry into the Finnish market as well as its strategy to become the leading Nordic transportation provider.

Over half of Finland’s billion-euro taxi market is comprised of public transportation. Inva-Taksi Oy is the leading provider of specialised transport in Finland and a strong operator in public sector transport.

  • -“The acquisition makes Cabonline the first taxi operator in Finland with the capability to work both in the private and public sectors. We are looking forward to bringing digital innovation and efficiency to public transport,” says Thomas Ekman, CEO, Cabonline Group.

Cabonline has also agreed to acquire Taxia, the previous owner of Inva-Taksi Oy, following the deregulation to take place next year. Cabonline already announced its acquisition of Kovanen and Mankkaan taksi on 30 June 2017. Through these acquisitions, Cabonline will become the largest taxi company in Finland.

In 2016, the combined turnover of Taxia and Inva-Taksi Oy was 99 MSEK.
