English version - New deluxe rooms at c/o Krägga Mansion

c/o Krägga Mansion, just outside of Stockholm, has opened three new designer’s rooms. The rooms are a tribute to three of the most iconic Swedes ever; Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman and Ingmar Bergman.

The three new rooms, locatd in on of the mansion’s wings facing lake Mälaren, are a tribute to some of the most famous Swedes of all time; Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman and Ingmar Bergman. Designed by Nadia Tolstoy, the rooms’ furniture, colours and materials are carefully chosen to reflect the personalities of our biggest stars in film and theater.

Greta Garbo, the shy super diva, often associated with her line ’I want to be let alone’, got her very own special room at c/o Krägga Mansion. When the Swedish businessman Axel Wenner-Gren was to host ms Garbo at Häringe Palace (also member of the c/o family today), he ordered for a room to be specially built without any right angles because Greta Garbo – a prima donna, indeed – did not like corners. Here at c/o Krägga Mansion, we have honored Ms Garbo with this room full of round furniture and details. With the lush textiles, materials and details in this room we pay tribute to Greta Garbo and her soft spot for gold and glamour.

Ingrid Bergman had a life full of enchanting portrayals as well as scandals, got a room that reflects the grace and pride she represents. The materials, the patterns and the colours in this room are inspired by Ingrid’s wardrobe, mainly the costumes of ‘Casablanca’ and the beautiful silver armour in ‘Joan of Arc’.

Ingmar Bergman, one of the world’s most important and influential film directors, has a hotel room inspired by his favorit spot, Swedish island Fårö. The room expresses the rugged, outdoorsy look of the island complemented by props Ingmar could have taken home from his movie sets. In a grand auction at Bukowskis, all of Ingmar’s material possessions where sold to the public. Luckily, images of the nightly doodles Ingmar drew on his bedside tables were preserved and printed on trays exclusively to place next to the beds in this very room.
