International success drives strong expansion for software company in West Sweden

Centiro Solutions, a leading software company in Transport Management, is now in a period of strong expansion resulting in 15–20 new jobs at the head office in Borås.

One of the factors behind the success is the ongoing restructuring of commerce, based on e-commerce and the fusion of physical and digital retail commerce channels. International large orders, in which Centiro will play a strategic role for at least 5–10 years, have initiated the expansion.

Centiro Solutions was founded in 1998 and enjoyed rapid expansion between 2005 and 2010, when the company was awarded four Gazelle diplomas. According to Niklas Hedin, the company is in a new phase of expansion where growth is mainly international. Centiro currently has around 70 employees and new recruitments include application consultants, project leaders and IT architects, with West Sweden as the main catchment area. Centiro’s solutions already play a central role in the supply chain of many companies and collaboration with global actors is now driving expansion, mainly in e-commerce and retail.

“Many of the new assignments confirmed during the last six months are with world-class names. Our continued future lies in building up collaborative networks internationally and we envisage a global virtual organization based in Sweden. Unique ideas about organization and leadership have already resulted in several awards. For four consecutive years, Centiro has been ranked as one of Sweden’s best work places, according to the consultancy company Great Place To Work. In 2012, Centiro was number eight on the European list and in connection with a gala ceremony in Dublin at the end of June, the company will be notified if this position has improved.
