Congratulations to Peter Forsberg on Adjunct Associate Professor appointment

Peter Forsberg, Peter Forsberg, newly appointed Adjunct Associate ProfessorIt is a good morning indeed as we applaud one of our own, Peter Forsberg, who's been appointed Adjunct Associate Professor 2016 at Sweden's Chalmers University of Technology.

Peter held his inauguration lecture on 'Artificial Intelligence for industrial applications, applied to autonomous commercial vehicles' at the Adaptive Systems group, Chalmers, yesterday.

A little on Peter's academic and work background: He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University in 2006. He then worked as lecturer at the Adaptive Systems group for half a year after which he joined AB Volvo for a few years. In 2011, he joined CPAC Systems and works with integration and automation for commercial vehicles.

A quote from his inaugural lecture:

'Most people dislike randomness. Yet it has a major impact on how we are constructed as human beings. Just like how entropy is fueling the universe, probability is the driving force that is tuning all life. We have now come to the defining moment of harnessed probability, i.e. artificial intelligence (AI). Some trends and challenges in AI are discussed, in the context of autonomous commercial vehicle development at CPAC Systems AB.'
