CPAC Systems - West Sweden’s most bicycle friendly workplace

One of the reasons CPAC Systems won the award ‘Västsveriges cykelvänligaste arbetsplats' (West Sweden’s most bicycle friendly workplace), is because we try to up the stakes when it comes to making our company bicycle-friendly as much as possible.

One of the things we do is hold a 'CykelFixarDag' (Fix-Bicycle-Day) every spring and autumn so that our employees can bring their bicycles to be fitted or serviced. The aim is to make sure the bikes are in good and safe condition ahead of the changing seasons so we get together to share maintenance tips and help each other with tyre changes, chain or brake fixes. The company has extra tyres, pedals, cables and bicycle chains on hand. It's like being in a bicycle carnival where you see bikes of various types and sizes, people talking and laughing and to top it all, there's a barbeque!

We try to encourage as many as possible to ride to and fro work and we make sure they have the 'tools' to make the easy transition from driving a car or taking the bus to riding a bicycle. Whether they are a beginner or a 'Tour de France' type of cyclist, we have in-house 'experts' to help them choose the right bike, equipment and safety clothing. It's also a way to encourage our employees to stay fit and healthy which is an important organizational goal for us.

The company provides a secured garage for the two wheelers and on the 4th floor of the office, there's a shower/ changing room fitted with a washing machine and dryer for those really muddied clothing!

So really, there's no excuse...
