Return to the golden ages

They know how to enjoy the opening of the spa season in the spa town of Belohrad. This year the opening event is “The Golden Era of Balneology” which will look back almost 100 years to the boom of balneology in the Czech Republic. If you happen to be in town on May 25, 2013, do not forget to pack a chic outfit in the style of mafia gangsters or Charleston and cancan dancers.

Succumb to the charm of Frantiskovy Lazne

Experience the atmosphere of more than 220 years ago when  drinking healing spa water and stress free strolls along the beautiful town´s colonnades in a smart suit or summer dress were common place. Does that seem like a dream? Then stop dreaming and come to Frantiskovy Lazne on May 18, 2013 and enjoy the atmosphere of the golden era of balneology yourself.

After the secular opening of the spa season the spiritual celebration including sanctification of the springs follows. Cisarska Street will come to life with music, singing and dancing. Frantiskovy Lazne will enchant you such as it did statesmen like Emperor Francis, Prince Metternich and Minister President Bismarck or artists like Johann Strauss Jr., Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Ludwig van Beethoven and many others. A variety of wellness beauty stays offering a generous selection of spa treatments are available, including half-board. Kijev Spa House has come up with a revolutionary new procedure this season, offering clients a treatment with a special French gadget called Starvac SP-2 Origin, which is intended to slow down the aging process, smooth down wrinkles and help with cellulitis.

Luhacovice springs opening

The spa town of Luhacovice will open the season with a three day long programme of celebrations. On Friday May 10 the focal point of the celebrations will be the town square. You can look forward to a display of vintage vehicles and bicycles, scenes depicting the history of Luhacovice and a concert by violin virtuoso Pavel Sporcl and the Gipsy Way / Romano Stilo Ensemble. On Sunday a holy mass will take place in the Church of the Holy Family followed by the sanctification of the springs. All of this will be accompanied by members of various folklore groups dressed in traditional costumes.

Wellness hotel Rezidence Ambra Luhacovice welcomes the new season with the opening of a new sports and relaxation facility. The whole building will be divided into zones dedicated to sport/rehabilitation and recreation/relaxation activities. It has been designed in such a way that it can serve clients of all age groups from pre-school to adults and seniors. The dominant feature of the facility will be a large bowling hall with a wine bar and outdoor terrace overlooking the whole complex.
