World premiere for "Fanny Lye Deliver'd" at BFI London Film Festival

The historical drama thriller “Fanny Lye Deliver’d”, co-produced by Filmgate Films, is having its world premiere Thursday, October 10th 2019 at the BFI London Film Festival, where it will also be in the official competition.

“Fanny Lye Deliver’d” is written and directed by Thomas Clay, and it stars Maxine Peake (“The Theory of Everything”, “Black Mirror”) and Charles Dance (“The Imitation Game”, “Gosford Park”).

The story is set on a remote farm in Shropshire, the year is 1657. We follow Fanny Lye, a puritan housewife whose life and oppressive marriage changes when two mysterious strangers are found hiding in their barn, pleading for help. “Fanny Lye Deliver’d” offers a savage and elemental world of beauty and horror.

The film will have its world premiere in a completely sold out screening on Thursday, October 10th at 20:40 during the BFI London Film Festival. It is also one of the ten films to be in the official competition at the festival.

Filmgate Films helped realize the film by creating and incorporating visual effects.

Filmgate Films is a production company based in Gothenburg, Sweden that does film, TV and commercial work. The subsidiary company, Filmgate, specializes in VFX, and is one of very few companies based in Sweden who are hired regularly by large Hollywood productions.
