HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

"Home" is relevant to everyone, no matter our background or experience or interpretation... "Home" relates to our immediate environments, our cities, our countries, our continents and ultimately all have one home in common - our planet. As a global community we have a common destiny and therefore share responsibility to shape our sustainable future.
The exhibition, Home is where the Heart is, which opens at Form/Design Center in Malmö on 15 June 2012, is a traveling storyteller bearing insights, visions, voices and reflections of sustainability from South Africa.
Produced by the Eco Design Initiative in collaboration with SVID, the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation, this interactive showcase shares the experience of young South African designers in their pursuit of social, environmental and economic wellbeing.
The Eco Design Initiative is a South African non-profit organization with the objective to develop skills and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship in the field of sustainable design. The Initiative mobilizes global youth and creative industries in positive action towards our sustainable future.

Form/Design Center är en dynamisk och välbesökt mötesplats för form, design och arkitektur. Här hittar du mycket av det bästa och senaste inom svensk design. Här visas årligen ett tjugotal utställningar om industridesign, konsthantverk, möbel- och textildesign, arkitektur och stadsutveckling, mode, grafisk formgivning och illustration. Form/Design Center arrangerar även föreläsningar och debatter och är en arena för möten och utbyten mellan formgivare, allmänhet, forskning och näringsliv.
