FundedByMe collaborates with Affärsvärlden

Stockholm, 22 May 2013: Europe’s fastest-growing crowd investment platform for investors to meet some of the most exciting entrepreneurs today announced a partnership with Platinum, a subsidy of Sweden’s most respected business publication, Affärsvärlden. This collaboration, which drives traffic to an informative landing page from which to explore the platform, aims to introduce more traditional investors to the concept of crowdfunding as an alternative way of supporting small businesses and ensuring an interesting and varied investment portfolio.

Daniel Daboczy, CEO and co-founder of FundedByMe says, “The response from traditional investors when they learn about the opportunity to be part of the next big thing in business - and of the wide variety of new businesses they can invest in through crowdfunding - is mind-blowing. We believe that investors want to be participants rather than passive end-users and crowdfunding offers a great tool to allow investors – big or small – to be a part of the next Spotify, Minecraft or Angry Birds while creating the future of business in Europe.”

And Lotta Dinkelspiel, editor of Affärsvärlden Platinum, agrees, “Our readers are distinguished in business and all have one thing in common – they want to invest their money, yes for return on investment, but increasingly to receive value from investment too. This is what crowdfunding – and equity crowdfunding in particular - offers the Platinum reader. We are very excited about this collaboration.”

The FundedByMe platform today has over 20,000 investors, 300 startups, and €300m of investment capacity, with €2m already invested in nine companies. Affärsvärlden has a unique weekly online readership of around 100,000 and print run of 22,000.
