FundedByMe expands with key personnel to ensure increased growth

Currently counting 18 employees and local presence in 8 countries in Europe and Asia - FundedByMe have had a dramatic growth and expansion. Since June 2013 the number of employees has almost doubled. During the past months, FundedByMe have managed to recruit staff from Spotify, Klarna, Facebook, Microsoft and now also Rocket Internet. In the process of taking their Equity Crowdfunding product to the next level and in parallel develop a Crowdlending product with global potential FundedByMe therefore decided to once again expand their team. Michal Gromek, a former Executive from Rocket Internets P2P lending company Lendico, joins as Head of International Financial Services to enhance the success providing financial services to an international market.

With more than 38,000 registered users since launching, the platform has raised nearly €6 million in crowdfunding campaigns from all over Europe – and still counting.

Gromek is a graduate in Investment Management with a degree from Gdansk University of Technology and University of Economics in Bratislava, aswell as a bachelor in European Economic Studies from Gdansk University of Technology (PL) & University of Coimbra (PT). With 8 years of work life experience from business development and project management in Europe, Gromek attends to the FundedByMe HQ in Stockholm in late August. “Financial products online are like jokes: They get boring when you have to explain them. I want to make them easy to understand”, Gromek says about his new challenge.
