Innovative design and low fuel consumption increase sales of Getrag All Wheel Drive systems
Since the market introduction in 2010, over 20.000 MINI Countryman have been equipped with a GETRAG All Wheel Drive Power Take-Off Unit (PTO). The successful introduction of the MINI Countryman has contributed to a significant increase of Getrag’s Power Take-Off Unit sales in 2010 as compared to 2009.
Thanks to its very compact and light design the Power take-off unit fits into the demanding packaging environment of the MINI Countryman. The innovative design also includes an efficient overall concept with low friction and low drag losses which contributes to keeping fuel consumption as low as possible. The design team has furthermore managed to combine the compact design with high torque capability, thus delivering reliable and excitingAll Wheel Drivepossibilities enabling a “fun-to-drive” experience.
