Gold for Goodbye Kansas

Together with CD Projekt Red, Goodbye Kansas developed and produced the trailer for the much anticipated game “Cyberpunk 2077” during the spring of 2019, and the trailer premiered at E3 in Los Angeles in June. It was an instant success and has so far had over 50 million views online.

Goodbye Kansas has now received the first award for the trailer. On August 16th, it was awarded Gold as best Game trailer at the annual AEF (Animation & Effects Awards Festival) in Sydney.

The trailer was directed by Fred Löfberg, who previously has directed the multi-awarded cinematics for games like “Overkill’s The Walking Dead” and “Conan Exiles”.

“Cyberpunk 2077 was voted “most anticipated game” in the gaming world even before we embarked on this project, so we knew we had to deliver a trailer that lived up to those huge expectations. The production was as always a team effort, and it a great testament to Goodbye Kansas’ ability to create cinematics that stand out. And it was a very rewarding experience to collaborate with our friends at CD Projekt Red”says Fred Löfberg

“Goodbye Kansas Studios has a unique ability to do entire game trailer productions in-house, thanks to our experienced creative and technical teams - and our very own Performance Capture and 3D Scanning facility. The Cyberpunk 2077 trailer is our most successful game trailer so far, and I’m sure this won’t be the last award for this great trailer” says Annika Torell, CEO and co-founder of Goodbye Kansas Studios.
