The new composite board gopanel® facilitates the scaffolding industry
The Swedish plastic specialist gop - Glasfiber & Plastprodukter AB, is committed to facilitate the construction and scaffolding industry with the new and unique composite board gopanel®. The design is based on a honeycomb core that provides for low weight and high supporting capacity. Weight savings helps to ease installation and handling which reduces the risk of occupational injury and improves the working environment.
“The construction and scaffolding industry today is characterized by heavy lifting which highly affects the workers' ergonomic situation. The low weight of the gopanel® board (4.0 kg / m2) provides an easy and fast installation and the risk of occupational injuries is minimized. The board provides for easier transportation and reduces the environmental footprint of each project. gopanel® is a sustainable supplement to plywood and other common material for scaffolding. The board will never rot and the unique honeycomb construction does not absorb water” says Patrik Helgegren, Product Specialist at gop.
The gopanel® board is fully certified by SP (Technical Research Institute of Sweden) for both load class and ageing. It is tested to withstand 10 years of UV light. gopanel® is available in branch standard measurements as well as project-specific sizes. Thickness measures 9 mm (load class 3) or 10,5 mm (load class 4). Other thicknesses, sizes, colors and additional logotypes are available on request.
