Grafokett® has long been pushing for forums/organisations that can provide support in solving the issues presented by labelling. There are a few industry organisations, but none of them entirely answers the need. This means that great responsibility is placed on customers and experts alike.
They first have to find exactly the information they are seeking, the second have to determine which requirements have to be satisfied for a product to have correct labelling.
Having consulted our closest partners, we believe we have identified something that will attract great attention and appreciation. Europe’s first LabelDay is being held on the 3rd of May in Malmö! This is a joint initiative with our partner ÅF.
Eef de Ferrante, CEO of AIPIA, has just confirmed that he will be attending as a keynote speaker. He will be talking about tomorrow’s smart labels. GS1, the global standards organisation, will be revealing the latest news on traceability and what has to be borne in mind in this connection. We are hopeful that a couple of other major names in megatrends and design will shortly also confirm.
We are especially pleased that Johan Mårtensson, CEO of Packbridge, has agreed to be the conference’s moderator. He comments: “I believe that LabelDay can be an inspiring and strategic conference. I have seen the programme and I like the idea of interweaving presentations with short workshops. I am also convinced that collaboration between various parties has never been more important than it is now.”
