The Real Stevia Company, Granular AB, Welcomes Norway Approval
The Real Stevia Company, Granular AB, welcomes the approval of steviol glycosides in Norway, making the food additive authorized and available in the entire Nordic region.
The global market for stevia and steviol glycosides is growing continuously. Less than four years after the approval in the US, almost half of all American households have at least one stevia sweetened product in their home according to food and beverage consultancy Mintel.
Less than a year after the approval of steviol glycosides as a food additive within the European Union, Norway is following the same path and has now officially adopted the EU regulation 1131/2011 on steviol glycosides. The Real Stevia Company is especially happy about the decision since it also enables for several of our customers in northern Europe to finally be able to sell stevia products to the entire Nordic region.
