Press Release   •   Jan 22, 2016 08:00 CET

Global Warning System (GWS) announces a partnership agreement with Travellink, part of one of the world’s largest online travel companies, eDreams Odigeo. The partnership covers the whole eDreams Odigeo group’s offer to the corporate segment in Europe.

The GWS Safeture service concept is a personal security service when traveling, which provides critical information about disasters and other threats, directly in the traveler’s smartphone through an app that is easily downloaded. eDreams Odigeo is Europe’s largest online travel company. The essence of the cooperation is to offer the Safeture Pro system and app to eDreams Odigeo’s business customers in Europe. It will be provided as an additional service with sales commission to Travellink.

Travel security is a critical aspect of any business travel and with that follows a need for any corporation to maintain their duty of care obligation. With the Safeture Pro service in their portfolio, Travellink will be well positioned to support their business customers, helping them and their employees to travel safe. Bodil Månsson, Group Director Corporate Travel at Travellink, comments on the agreement and its possibilities:

“We definitely think that we add value to our product offer with Safeture Pro. Our corporate clients have business travelers traveling all around the world and this service will help them stay updated at any time about potential incidents or threats. As travel habits evolve, it is natural also to develop our service offering, and with this in our portfolio we will strengthen our position on the market.”

Andreas Rodman, CEO of GWS, underlines the importance of the cooperation from the GWS point of view:

“We are very proud to be chosen by the leading Nordic online travel company. We have been dedicated to reach an important agreement in this segment, and are looking forward to developing the partnership. This means that we now have signed a contract in another segment that we have identified as very interesting for our global growth – the travel industry.”
