Global Warning System (GWS) announces today that a patent for a solution related to its positioning technology will be approved (Notice of allowance) by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The patent will be applicable in the US and valid until the year 2033.
GWS provides a service concept called Safeture, a personal security service for travelers, accessible through an app that is easily downloaded to the mobile phone. The app contains critical information and alerts in real time about the traveler’s actual location, giving service and safety while traveling. The innovation protects customers through a flexible location determination, which is a part of GWS’ advanced geo positioning technology. Andreas Rodman, CEO of GWS, comments on the notice that the patent will be approved:
“We received a Notice of allowance for this patent in Europe last year, and it is of course very satisfying to also have the patent rapidly approved by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Our strategy is to keep our technology leadership and constantly develop our product offering, and with this approved patent we can further consolidate our position within our area of business which is personal travel security.”
